FOOD REVIEWS THE GREAT KEBAB FACTORY @RADISSON BLU PLAZA MAHIPALPUR

I will rate this place 5 star in terms of food, service and well managed staff.  Awesome place. Great food and equally good service. Had good options for vegetarians as well. Parantha with Subz Galouti was the best part. Kababs are great. Though, main course is nice, I would love to have multiple rounds of Kababs.
Good options in desserts in the form of rabri jalebi, kulfi, Ballushahi.
Went there with my family and friends. Everyone appreciated the place for its ambience, food and service.

This  is one of the better restaurants in the Delhi in terms of food scenes serving amazing kebabs and awesome desserts. The interiors are nice and give the feeling of royalness with an open kitchen where the chefs are putting out succulent kebabs. The service was quite good.

The kebabs were great as usual...the mutton galouti kebabs were melt in your mouth and exploded with flavours...they went wonderfully well with the ulte tawa ka parantha...the south indian style prawns were fresh and crunchy....the chicken on bone was tender and flavorful as well....the burrah kebab with the cinnamon flavor was according to be trying too much....the fish tikka with the rosemary marinade was thankfully not overpowering with the rosemary flavour....they were brilliant.

The main course is equally mouth watering. The dal makhani was awesome, the mutton biryani was one of the best biryanis that i  had...the mutton was perfectly cooked and was nicely cut....the homemade chicken curry was well exactly like home...it was less on spices and high on flavors...the chicken was quite tender...

the stick kulfi was delectable...the jalebi was crisp and hot and tasted mouth watering with and awesome rabri...

What a feast....amazing kebas...equally delectable main course and sinful desserts..

450 types of Kababs – You cannot find that anywhere else: Our signature kababs have been created after a decade of extensive research and development. TGKF owns a recipe bank of over 450 kababs which include many closely guarded family recipes passed down through the ages. Various imitations have been created but none match the unique flavor and aromas of the original TGKF signature kababs.

Vegetarian Kababs: For the vegetarian clientele, our chefs have introduced kababs such as tandoori broccoli and subz galouti which are unique to the TGKF dining experience.

What is your signature item / dish that people keep coming back for – and can you describe this dish?
Galauti Kabab - One of the more delicate kebabs from Lucknow made of minced goat. Legend has it that the galauti kebab was created for an aging Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Lucknow who lost his teeth, but not his passion for meat dishes. ‘Galawati’ means “melt in your mouth” and was perfect for the toothless

Nawab who continued savouring this until his last days. Traditionally, green papaya is used to make it tender. After being mixed with a few select herbs and spices (great chefs rarely reveal what they are exactly), the very finely ground meat is shaped into patties and fried in pure ghee until they are browned. The original recipe that brought many a smile on the Nawab’s face, albeit toothless, and many a sigh of satisfaction, is supposed to have more than 100 aromatic spices.

Other Popular Kababs are

Burrah kabab –

Burrah literally means “big” are succulent Lamb chops that are marinated over-night & taste of the warm flavors of garlic, cumin, nutmeg, and mace, balanced by the sharpness of vinegar and lemon.

Achaari Macchi –
Fish marinated with pickled spices may sound like a vivid combination, but our Master Indian Chef has taken a step in reviving this forgotten classical dish to cherish it to its heights.

The Great Kabab Factory at Radisson  Blu Plaza  Delhi received the recognition of being among the ‘Best of the Best’, restaurants for food, service, décor and attention to hygiene, having been selected from a group of 101 Best Restaurants of Delhi NCR,–Mail Today  2010.
