Rekha Gupta, President Society of Performing Arts for Cultural Exchange’ 2016 – 17’hosted a candid conversation with Actor cum writer Deepti Naval who has touched many hearts through her books like The Mad Tibetan and Black Wind.
Now she is all set to release her collection of poems ‘Lamha Lamha’ organized by SPACE,which was established to revive and rejuvenate dying Indian art forms.
The unveiling of the book took place at Sheraton Hotel in the presence of eminent personalities such as Geeta Chandran, Anjanna Kuthiala, LN Rao , and Sushma Seth, to name a few. Deepti’s poems spring from anguish both within and without. She is a seeker of beauty and an explorer of wilderness, according to writer Bulbul Mankani.
Her poems have innocence and she writes after visually intoxicating herself in the mirth of Nature. ‘Lamha Lamha’ depicts various themes and emotions, revealing Deepti's insights and eye for detail. Deepti’s observations of her surroundings and her ability to extract from experiences attest to her intrepid disposition.
Her writings are influenced by the little day to day things that tend to disturb you and touch you. ‘Lamha Lamha is hugely romantic and indulges in the feeling of romance and loneliness’, says the very creative and compassionate actor cum writer.
