There have been so many songs made to depict the pain of cancer patients but how many literally go a further step to feel the pain? Preeti and Pinkyare first Indian female singers to go bald for the cause to generate cancer awareness among people.
Bollywood singing duo Preeti and Pinky who are best remembered for their hit song 'Piya Piya O Piya' from Salman Khan starer movie 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega' went bald for their new song. Their new track 'Hungama Kyun Na Kare' is dedicated to female cancer patients. The single is well received by the audience who are not only appreciating their brave move but also following their path.
"We are glad that the audience is not only enjoying our track but also recognizing the full worth of our efforts. We wanted to bring out the true meaning of beauty. Beauty is not only exterior. It takes a lot to fight a disease like cancer. Through this song, we wish to lift patients' confidence. We hope it lifts the morale of all those patients who are going through the trauma. We have been getting mails regarding the song from India as well as abroad how it's helping them" said Preeti and Pinky
The duo who are best known as ‘Dandiya Queens’ said that they chopped off their tresses in order to challenge pre-conceived definition of beauty.
