“Mehfil e’ Sufiana” will be impacting the lives of many underprivileged, especially women and children through the work of Quota International. This event, organized by Something Creative-by Leher Sethi and MIMS Entertainment, was the Annual Charity Fundraiser for Quota International (Gurgaon Chapter). The event featured a soul-stirring Sufi performance by the famous Nizami Bandhu. This is a much-anticipated calendar event in Gurgaon in its 10th edition.
“This Fundraiser is an annual event held to raise funds for our organization. Those who attend our events become our partners in our endeavour to serve the under-privileged. Our moto is to share and help change lives.” said Pratibha Chandra, President – Quota International (Gurgaon Chapter).
“This is our first time hosting a fund-raiser and we’ve not only accomplished our fundraising goals, but managed to increase participation, which feels like a great achievement. We are just glad to have been part of an event that aims to serve the greater good.” said Leher Sethi, Director – Something Creative & Vinay Chand, CEO – MIMS Entertainment.
The guests were seen enjoying exotic drinks and cocktails mixed by Bacardi. The performance was followed by a sumptuous dinner spread by Le Meridien Gurgaon, Delhi NCR.
Quota International of DLF City, Gurgaon is a social service organisation, committed to improving the lives of the underprivileged, especially women and children. It is registered under the Societies Act of Haryana and all donations to it are tax exempt under the Income Tax Act, 1961. It is also registered with FCRA.
Something Creative is a creative consultancy firm that specializes in Book Launches and other literary associations. Its main area of focus is on content driven events that focus on social issues. The Nizami Bandhu is a Qawwali group which is comprised of Ustad Chand Nizami, son of late Ustad Mehmood Nizami, Shadab Faridi Nizami and Shorabh Faridi Nizami. They together form a trio qawwali group which is called Nizami Bandhu. They have a history which is rich, lustrous and royal in terms of art as this group is 7 centuries old. They belong to a legendary and glorious 'Sikandra Gharana' which is been known to have produced some magnificent singers.
